THE Fugees rapper Pras has picked up the rights to make a movie on street hustler-turned-author ROBERT 'ICEBERG SLIM' BECK.

The movie adaptation of Beck's 1969 book PIMP: THE STORY OF MY LIFE was originally intended to star Ice Cube, with the rapper and Quincy Jones among the producers.

But the project languished for quite some time before Pras, full name PRAKAZREL MICHEL, picked up the rights from HOLLOWAY HOUSE PUBLISHING CO.

The film will transport viewers to 1920s Chicago, where the late author lived as a street hustler and pimp. After he was jailed decades later, Beck turned his life around and began writing about his past experiences.
