Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand have adopted a no-groupie rule when they're on tour - because they think it's unromantic.

The four-piece insist they only fall into bed with girls they meet on the road if they think a lasting romance can come of it.

Frontman Alex Kapranos tells ROLLING STONE magazine, "I've been on tour with guys who totally misuse their authority. I speak on behalf of the band when I say that we're all very romantic people.

"Any romance we enter into, we'd like it to be on even terms."
