Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand will join THE Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde and Mick Hucknall at a prestigious UNITED NATIONS (UN) sponsored concert to raise money for refugees in Sudan's Dafur province.

The TAKE ME OUT foursome were horrified to discover Dafur natives have been forced to flee their homes during the 21 days of violence, so agreed to interrupt their North American tour to play at the REFUGEE VOICES FOR DAFUR concert, via video link from Mexico City.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees said next month's (08DEC04) concert at London's Royal Albert Hall will feature a star-studded line-up performing the songs of jazz star Cole Porter with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
