Fox has announced its plans to introduce a series of new shows in the upcoming fall schedule listing, with the American television network announcing three new comedy series and two brand new drama shows.
The two dramas set to be premiered in the coming months are called 'The Following"' and 'The Mob Doctor.' The Fbi-based 'The Following' will see actor Kevin Bacon take on the role of an agent forced from retirement so he can lend his expertise to a case involving a series of murders. Meanwhile, 'Mob Doctor' looks to be slightly more light-hearted as TV actress Jordana Spiro takes on the role of a surgeon who has to juggle her professional life with her mafia-connected private life, in what is Spiro's first lead role. The two will air on Monday night alongside popular mainstay 'Bones.'
The network's brand new comedy selection looks ready to tickle a few funny bones and although late-night newbie 'The Goodwin Games' has yet to be given an official airing date (it may show on Tuesday night), two other new shows are set to light up the ratings. 'The Mindy Project' will star producer/writer Mindy Kaling as an obstetrics and gynaecology practitioner struggling to find balance between her professional and personal lives. Fellow newcomer 'Ben and Kate' is and 'odd-couple' type programme that sees siblings, played by Dakota Johnson and Nat Faxon, who never quite meet eye-to-eye despite their family connection.
