Flutes - Kilburn

Fife band Flutes are here with a four minute short film for their single 'Kilburn'; the second single from their self-titled debut album that also includes the B-side 'What Is Love'. All are available to buy now as the band begin work on their next EP.

The video stars Lorraine Stanley ('London to Brighton', 'Made in Dagenham'), Rob Reina and Eliza McClelland in this film about the trials and tribulations of love and lust in the North West London area of Kilburn. It surrounds the idea of how artists, such as poets Byron and Burns, automatically drift towards seedy lifestyles filled with regrets about their nightly conquests and drunken revelry. The video even comes with the warning notice, 'contains scenes of an adult nature' as the band leave no stone unturned in their exploration of the reality of artistry in London. The song opens with an extract from Robert Burns' 'Tam O' Shanter' which puts across an image of debauchery immediately before the melancholy guitar riffs and slow drum beats begin.

The Scottish four-piece have garnered much praise since the release of their debut album in 2012 from a variety of radio stations across the UK and they're soon to increase their ever-growing fanbase with their upcoming EP currently titled 'Lost in The Sand'.
