Florida Georgia Line star Tyler Hubbard has quit social media in an attempt to reconnect his relationships with family and friends outside of the Internet.
The Cruise singer announced on Wednesday (20Jul16) he is taking a step away from all his online accounts, doing so by sharing a final post on Instagram.
The photo simply featured the phrase, "Done with the reel life and getting back to the real life."
Tyler added the caption, "I've done a lot of thinking and praying about this for the last few days and I think it's time for me to take a break from social media indefinitely. I spend way to much of my valuable time worrying about my next post or how many comments or likes I got. Honestly it's a little ridiculous and I'm ready to get back to focusing all my attention on the things that really matter.
"I love my fans and promise I'm not gone forever but I'm taking some time to refocus on my relationships, the Lord, my marriage, my family, and my music. Maybe I'll even learn a new instrument instead of learning how to snap chat. I want to make sure that I'm living my life to the fullest and not worrying about making a highlight reel for the world to talk about or comparing my life to other peoples highlight reels. That's not what life is about. #backtothebasics."
Although Tyler is taking a hiatus from social media, he's keeping busy thanks to Florida Georgia Line's upcoming album Dig Your Roots, which is slated for release next month (Aug16).
