The Classic East and Classic West concerts at Citi Field in New York and Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles will take place in July (17), according to Billboard, and promoters hope to make the shows an annual event.

Each festival is taking place over two days, with additional artists to be announced in the coming weeks and months.

The events will mark the Eagles' first shows since the death of co-founder Glenn Frey last year (Jan16), while Fleetwood Mac haven't scheduled any other dates for 2017.

The classic-rock driven festival follows the success of last year's Desert Trip festival, which featured the Rolling Stones, Paul MCCartney, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and The Who.

There has been no news released about a 2018 Desert Trip event at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, where the Coachella festival is staged every spring.

Representatives for the Eagles and Fleetwood MAC have yet to confirm the festival reports.
