Rapper and reality TV star Flavor Flav is hoping to avoid a trial in his misdemeanour driving under the influence, speeding and marijuana possession charges stemming from a vehicle stop in May (15).
His attorney Kristina Wildeveld is confident she can resolve the case on Monday (08Feb16) without the 56-year-old Public Enemy star, real name William Drayton, Jr., having to take the stand.
Nevada Highway Patrol officers clocked Flav going over 20 miles-per-hour over the speed limit in a 65 mile-per-hour zone, and pulled him over last year.
It wasn't the first time the rap star has been caught speeding - Nassau County cops in New York stopped him as he sped through their jurisdiction in January, 2014, en route to his mother's funeral on Long Island.
He was fined after pleading guilty to one count of unlicensed aggravated operation of a motor vehicle.
