"Weak"

Score Review

Done with any pretense of story and character, Radley Metzger turns to full-on porn with Score, his notorious 1973 soft-core production.

Score's about sex -- straight, lesbian, gay. You name it, Score's got it. The setup (and I won't even call it a "plot") is that an older couple sets its eyes on a younger couple, with thoughts of seduction. After about 20 minutes of arguing and protesting shenanigans, the orgy can begin. (Though does four people count as an orgy?) Every combination is tested out, and the next hour and change plays out as one extended sex scene.

The sex is NC-17 class, but not XXX. Lots of full frontal nudity, and tons of thrusting -- if that's your bag. But if you're actually into film as an art form, the only reason to watch Score is for Lynn Lowry (then 26, today she's still hot at 58), who first charms you with her little red hat then seduces you with her red hair, blue eyes, and pixie voice. The look of Bambi-like surprise when she's caught in a four-way in the film's final scene is something you just can't fake.

The film is now available as part of The Radley Metzger Collection Volume 2, with Little Mother and The Dirty Girls. A trailer and other archive material can be found on the new disc.
