As Fenech-Soler conclude work on their upcoming new album which will be released this Spring, taster track 'All I Know' has given their fans a brief glimpse of what's in store. Recently named by Radio 1's Greg James as his Record of The Week and playlisted by the station, 'All I Know' was produced by Fenech-Soler alongside Tim Goldsworthy (The Maccabees, LCD Soundsystem and UNKLE) and Swedish house producer/DJ Style of Eye. Recorded at a new studio built this year by the band's drummer Andrew Lindsay, 'All I Know' marries pulsating dancefloor dynamics with their unashamed full on live sound.
Fenech-Soler will now release the 'All I Know' remix EP on January 14th on Warner Bros. Records. As well as the original track, it also features brand new mixes courtesy of Bristol's house duo Waifs & Strays; Cicada, who have contributed remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode and New Order; Toronto's acclaimed house music sensations Art Department; and fast-rising producer/DJ team Paris & Simo. The Waifs & Strays and Art Department mixes have already received airplay from Annie Mac and Rob da Bank respectively.
Fenech-Soler's debut album earned Q and XFM award nominations for The Next Big Thing and Best British Debut Album of the Year respectively. Their single 'Stop and Stare' was named as Record of the Week by both Huw Stephens and Greg James. The tracks 'Lies' and 'Demons' along with 'Stop And Stare' were all playlisted at Radio 1 where the band also performed in the Live Lounge.
The band spent the second half of 2011 completing a gruelling touring schedule which took in twenty-eight festivals including a triumphant return to the stage at a rammed East Dance Tent at Glastonbury, V, T in The Park, Bestival, Lovebox and Oxegen, a sold out UK tour and European tour and as main support to Example on his extended theatre tour dates. In the past the band have also supported Mark Ronson, Kelis and White Lies.
