Faith Hill, the American country musician, and her husband Tim Mcgraw are set to get the "Barbie doll" treatment. Mattel, the company behind the legendary dolls, have recreated the country duo for a special edition 'Tim MCGraw and Faith Hill Doll Gift Set'.
The dolls, which hit stores in September priced at around $69.99, follow the Reba McEntire figurines released in February 2011. Linda Kyaw, a designer for 'Barbie Collector', spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the musical duos involvement in the project, saying, "Tim and Faith sent us photos of every detail.Including Tim's complete suit, piece-by-piece, and Faith's dress, make-up, and clear shots of her hair preference. The couple knew exactly what they wanted to see in doll form, and they helped us achieve the best possible results". Hill is best known for her hugely successful hits 'This Kiss' and 'Just Breathe', and has won a total of five Grammy Awards. She and MCGraw married in October 1996 and have three daughters together. Donna Douglas, the 'Beverly Hillbillies' star, filed a lawsuit against Mattel in May seeking damages for "unauthorized use" of her likeness in their products.
Faith Hill has sold over 40 million records worldwide while picking up 8 number-one singles and 3 number-one albums.
