Rapper Example's plans to release another album have been shelved.
The Won't Go Quietly star took a short break from music to embark on an acting and TV presenting career, but he returned last year (15) with the single Whisky Story, which failed to enter the U.K. Top 40 chart. At the time he was expected to follow up with his sixth album.
No further material was released but the British rapper and producer, real name Elliot Gleave, admits he has recorded a whole album's worth of songs but executives at his record label don't want to put it out because they believe there isn't the demand for it.
“I could put the album out tomorrow, but I’m part of a label saying, ‘No one wants an album from you,'" he tells Britain's The Sun newspaper. “The album’s dead. You can have millions of streams of a single but you can release an album and only get 10,000 copies."
Example's last album Live Life Living was released in 2014. He made his film debut in 2015 British drama Between Two Worlds, and according to iMDB.com, he has finished filming comedy thriller White Island alongside Billy Zane.
