Ewan McGregor always felt confident of success - he was "really cocky" about landing roles while still at drama school.
The Trainspotting star, who has appeared in more than 45 movies, studied acting at London's prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in his youth, and the Scot never doubted he would make it big in Hollywood.
He tells Britain's Esquire magazine, "I was really cocky about it. I never considered it not happening. Even when I was at drama school and people didn't know that I was any good.
"Some of those films were incredible experiences and others were incredible films. They're not necessarily the same ones."
