Evanescence co-founder Ben Moody is set to tackle his bipolar disorder, substance abuse issues and his reasons for quitting the rock group he formed with ex-girlfriend Amy Lee in songs on his solo debut.
The rocker, who has penned hits for Avril Lavigne, Anastasia and KELLY CLARKSON since departing Evanescence in 2003, has chosen to showcase his solo talents on a new album and he admits the tracks will be very dark.
One tune, 10/22, is named for the fateful night he abruptly left Evanescence after breaking up with Lee.
He says, "We both needed somebody to blame when it didn't turn out like we thought, but it's time for us both to grow up."13/07/2005 09:35
