It was revealed on Thursday (01Sep16), less than a month after season four ended, that executives at U.S. network Lifetime wouldn't be renewing the comedy-drama for a fifth season. And following the news, producer Eva, who also directed a 2014 episode and appeared as herself in season four, reached out to thank supporters - also known as the Devious Army.

"Devious fans, thank you for your support the past 4 seasons!," she tweeted. "I'm proud of this show & our amazing cast & crew (love heart emoji) #MondayNightsWontBeTheSame."

The show began in 2013 and was created by Marc Cherry, the man behind Eva's most notable show Desperate Housewives. It revolved around Latinas working as domestic servants in the homes of Hollywood's elite and starred Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, who have also posted thank you messages on social media.

"#DeviousArmy I am so grateful to have been on such an incredibly fun ride!," Dania wrote. "Thank you to all the writers/producers/actors that took part of this amazing journey. Rosie Falta will live on forever now and a big thanks to @abcnetwork & @lifetimetv for believing in us. Last but not least, THANKS to our amazing crew throughout the years. What a blast we all had! You guys are everything!!!"

Rosalyn added, "Playing CARMEN LUNA was one of the most amazing & rewarding experiences of my life... Thanks #DeviousMaids Devious Army for the (love) & support."
