The former Desperate Housewives star announced her engagement to Mexican TV boss Jose 'Pepe' Baston in December (15), and rumours linking singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria to Eva's big day quickly hit gossip sites and news outlets.

"(Victoria) is keen to expand the wedding dress side of the business, so it's a dream come true for her to land this gig," a source told Britain's The Sun newspaper, suggesting the story was true, and the ex-Spice Girls star was working on a lavish silk dress.

"She knew she was doing it before Jose even proposed...," the insider continued. "Eva's wedding photos will be seen all over the world, so it'll be perfect publicity..."

However, the bride-to-be insists decisions about dress designers and styles haven't even crossed her mind.

"I haven't given it one thought," Eva told U.S. talk show host Wendy Williams of the rumours, "I haven't even talked to Victoria about it."

Victoria's publicist has also dismissed the claims, adding, "Victoria Beckham does not produce wedding dresses and has no current plans to expand the collection to include bridal wear."

Meanwhile, Eva also used her Wendy Williams chat to reiterate her wish to keep the celebrations a very intimate affair, after previously admitting to U.S. breakfast show Today it would likely be a "big fat Mexican wedding".

"I'm advocating for eloping," she said in Tuesday's (12Jan16) interview. "I don't know if I'm going to get away with that though."

The marriage will be the 40-year-old beauty's third - she was previously wed to Tyler Christopher and basketball player Tony Parker.

Jose, who has also been married before, proposed to Eva during a romantic vacation in Dubai.
