Erin O'Connor has joked she sometimes finds herself strutting down the supermarket aisle as if it were a catwalk.

The British supermodel often finds herself absent-mindedly strutting down the food aisle as if she were walking the glamorous catwalks of Paris or Milan.
Speaking at the launch of new Sky Living HD show 'The Face', Erin laughed: ''I end up doing it in the supermarket sometimes. I move my trolley, and all of a sudden I realise I've taken over the aisle. I just can't turn it off!''
The 35-year-old star - who got her big break in the 90s with the cover of i-D magazine - hopes to unearth some quirky girls with strong personalities on the modelling competition who could match her own edgy career path.
She said: ''I think I represented an anarchic change by accident. I was very shy growing up as a teenager, but on the other side I was very unapologetic. When I first started, they shaved my head, but I wasn't representative of what had come before - theses ladies were absolutely untouchable.
''I hope what I brought to the industry was that attitude and personality are so key. It was my form of liberation as a twisted teenager.''
Erin was branded ''one of the best supermodels in the world'' by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, and she still feels awestruck by the compliment.
She said: ''That's hugely flattering. I don't really know what to say about that. That's a lovely quote to have super glued to you for the last decade. Karl's not a bad poser himself. He gives me a run for my money! I learnt from the best.''
'The Face' debuts on Monday 30 September at 9pm on Sky Living HD.
Ahead of their upcoming tour, and prior to the release of their long awaited album, Smoke Fairies played a great warm-up gig at Elsewhere in Margate.
