'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet has split from his long-term girlfriend.

The actor - who plays Cameron Tucker in the hit sitcom - and Broadway star Katherine Tokarz decided to end their three-year relationship ''a couple of months ago'', according to In Touch magazine.

His representative confirmed the split and said he's eager to finding love again, telling the publication: ''Eric is happy and looking to date.''

Eric - whose 'Modern Family' character raises a little girl, Lily, with his long-term boyfriend Mitchell Pritchatt - and Katherine met in 2009 at a 'Rock of Ages' performance the actress was starring in.

However, Eric joked about how she thought he was interested in men before she got to know him.

He said: ''I kind of always felt like I had to dig myself out of a bit of a hole and let girls know that I'm actually straight.

'But she was like, 'Oh, I was watching 'The View' and saw that you weren't gay!' ... And we're still together.''
