Country star Eric Church has filed a lawsuit against a group of concert vendors for allegedly selling unauthorised merchandise.
The singer has accused the opportunists of traveling from show to show on his Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour and peddling knockoff items to fans.
On Tuesday (13Mar12) Church named more than four individuals and a handful of corporations for participating in the manufacturing, marketing and sale of counterfeit products.
The suit, which was filed in Tennessee, reads, "Without a federal court order authorizing the seizure of infringing goods at and near … 2012 tour concert locations, (Church) will lose innumerable and irrecoverable sums in merchandise sales and will suffer incalculable, irreparable damage to his reputation and goodwill."
According to the Nashville Business Journal, the Drink in My Hand hitmaker is seeking compensatory and punitive damages as well as a ban on all related activity.
