Spanish pop heart-throb Enrique Iglesias paid tribute to the 200 victims of Thursday's (11MAR04) terrorist attack in Madrid at his first ever Sydney gig last night (14MAR04).
The Madrid-born star held a minute's silence at the city's ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE as he performed his second of five concerts in the Antipodean country.
The Hero hitmaker, 28, announced he will auction off the chance to meet him after his subsequent shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with the proceeds going to a special victims' fund.
Iglesias is being accompanied around Australia by his on/off girlfriend, Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova.
The singer explains, "She loves Australia and I have never been, so she was really keen to join me."15/03/2004 02:19
