Enrique Iglesias and David Hasselhoff have thrown their support behind a safe sex campaign by opening up about how Hiv/Aids has affected those close to them.

The stars joined a host of celebrities on a bed backstage at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday (09Nov14) to discuss the Someone Like Me initiative.

Hasselhoff encouraged young people to be more aware of the disease that has affected one of his friends, saying, "It can happen to anyone because it's happened to some of my dearest friends. It happened to a friend of mine who is 28 years old who is married."

Iglesias says, "I actually have a lot of friends of my parents that died of Hiv/Aids so it's extremely important.. I think young kids should take that seriously and have safe sex all the time. I have safe sex all the time."

The bed-based chat comes ahead of the annual World Aids Day next month (01Dec14).
