British crooner Engelbert Humperdinck has quit his 120-dates-a year Las Vegas run for a quiet birthday at home in Britain. The RELEASE ME star, who vows to return to the Sin City gigs as soon as his 70th celebrations are over, joined friends and family for a party at his Leicester, England, home yesterday (02MAY06). Humperdinck - real name GERRY DORSEY - maintains he has no plans to slow down his hectic schedule as he enters old age, intending to "dance around on stage" as long as possible. And the enduring singer even hints his busy diary could inspire a follow-up to his 2005 autobiography WHAT'S IN A NAME? He says, "I'm really excited about what lies ahead. I'm sure there's going to be a sequel to my autobiography. "I look at people who have turned 70 and I think I don't feel that way. I mean, I still dance around on stage and my voice is still strong and everyone in the audience is still screaming. "Some artists might say its exhausting. I say it's nothing, a spit in the ocean. I love my job."
