British actress Emma Thompson will star in new movie FAST FORWARD, after insisting she wouldn't cast herself in the romantic comedy.

Thompson, who co-wrote the film with High Fidelity author Nick Hornby, announced she and husband Greg Wise wouldn't take the romantic leads because their established relationship would detract from the on-screen tension.

But the actress has made a partial u-turn and will now star herself.

Hornby reveals, "The film is about a woman who finds a movie trailer of her life and Emma will play that woman. They haven't cast the male lead yet, but it won't be Hugh Grant."
