'The Inbetweeners' actress Emily Head is hoping she can break America.
Emily Head is hoping to break America.
The actress - best known for her role as teenager Carli D'Amato in the British sitcom The Inbetweeners - is hoping to make it stateside after starting her film career with Shakespeare adaptation 'Much Ado About Nothing'.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at that films UK premiere, she said: ''I have just shot a pilot for an American series, so now I'm just waiting to see if it goes anywhere.
''It stars Anna Gunn, it's called 'Rita'. It's about her, she's a private school teacher, and her family. I play her daughter.''
Rita, a struggling mum-of-three, is dealing with the mindless bureaucracy and the over-protective parents at her school in the scripted drama.
The pilot, which was written by Krista Vernoff and directed by Miguel Arteta, is adapted from the Danish version with the same title and is set to air on Bravo in late 2013.
The 24-year-old is busy working on her career but revealed she still meets up with her co-stars from The Inbetweeners.
She continued: ''I see a lot of Blake Harrison, mainly because he lives in central London. I try to see them as much as I can.''
