Actress Emily Blunt is backing fellow Brits Colin Firth and Christian Bale for Oscar glory at the Academy Awards ceremony later this month (Feb11), because they "nailed" their performances.
The Devil Wears Prada star is convinced Firth is sure to walk away with a Best Actor trophy for his role in The King's Speech, and praises Bale's performance in gritty drama The Fighter.
She tells Britain's Live From Studio Five, "I think Colin should get it and I think he will, to be honest. I don't want to jinx it because that's not really kind of fair.
"But he deserves it, it was an extraordinary performance... and Christian Bale... (he) nailed it! So yeah I think those two guys are going to get it. I hope they get it."
Bale has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
