Emily Atack has reported a Twitter troll to the police after being sent violent death threats via the social networking site.
Emily Atack has been sent death threats over Twitter.
The 'Inbetweeners' star - who played sexy sixth former Charlotte in the E4 show - received malicious messages from an internet troll on November 13 and Bedfordshire Police are now investigating the incident.
One such message said: ''Emily its time 4 u to leave this world, ur last hours wnt be pleasant, but it will achieve the objective. (sic)''
The messages also threatened she would be ''sliced to bits'', ''bleed to death'' and her ''last hours wnt be pleasant (sic)''.
Emily contacted the police yesterday (14.11.12) after telling the offender: ''Prison for you''.
She took to Twitter to alert her fans, saying she had since been subject to a whirlwind of abuse online.
The star added she had ''never read/seen anything so vicious towards me in my whole life''.
The 22-year-old beauty later thanked her followers for their support, posting: ''Hi all, thanks for your nice tweets! Police are on the case. X''
