British actress Emilia Fox is hoping to shed her clothes to play Mrs Robinson in a stage adaptation of The Graduate.
The Pianist star, 38, is a big fan of the 1967 film version starring Dustin Hoffman as a young man seduced by an older woman, played by Anne Bancroft, and she would love to tackle the saucy role onstage.
She tells Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "I watched The Graduate again recently and Mrs Robinson is so sexy - that is just a dream part for a woman. It was such a taboo at the time. Watching it this time has made me think I'd love to do it. I haven't done a play for a long time but I'd like to try one again."
A stage adaptation of Charles Webb's original novel has been a hit in London's West End and on Broadway, and actresses including Kathleen Turner, Jerry Hall and Morgan Fairchild have all stripped off to play Mrs Robinson.
