Scottish singer Emeli Sande is stepping out of the spotlight and looking forward to taking a six-month break to work on new music.

The Heaven hitmaker will close Wednesday's (20Feb13) Brit Awards, where she is nominated for Best Female, Best Album and Best Song prizes, and then plans to disappear for a while.

She tells Britain's The Sun, "I'm happy to leave the limelight for a bit and lay low after (the Brits). I'm going to be in the studio working on my next album. I just want to make more music as that's my favourite thing."

The soul sensation will also be hoping to make the most of married life after exchanging vows with her longtime boyfriend Adam Gouraguine in his native Montenegro in September (12).
