Scottish soul star Emeli Sande has reclaimed the coveted number one spot on the U.K. albums chart with Our Version Of Events following her recent performance in the London Olympics Closing Ceremony.
The singer joined the likes of The Who, the Spice Girls, George Michael, One Direction and Jessie J as part of the big show's line-up earlier this month (Aug12), and they have all seen a huge boost in sales ever since.
However, Sande is riding the biggest wave of interest - her debut release beat Paloma Faith's Fall To Grace and Ed Sheeran's +, which sit on the chart at two and three, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sande's song Read All About It Part 3 also climbs to number three in the U.K. singles countdown, trailing rapper Wiley's Heatwave at two and Rita Ora's dance anthem How We Do (Party), which scores the R&B newcomer her third British number one.
Rockers Elbow also benefited from the Olympics exposure - their tune One Day Like This is now at four, while their album The Seldom Seen Kid leaps up 133 places to six.
