Resurrected rockers Embrace paid an emotional tribute to grief-stricken band Jet at Saturday's (21AUG04) V Festival in Chelmsford, south England.

The ALL YOU GOOD GOOD PEOPLE band replaced the Australian rockers in the line-up after the death of NIC and CHRIS CESTER's dad JOHN from throat cancer.

Frontman DANNY McNAMARA told the crowd, "I know you were expecting another band tonight. I don't know what I'd do if mine and RICHARD's (guitarist and Danny's brother) dad died.

"So I express my condolences to Jet. I don't know what to say so I'll dedicate GRAVITY (the band's new single, penned by pal Chris Martin) to Jet."

Embrace have been in the musical wilderness for the past few years but have returned to the industry thanks to the help of the COLDPLAY singer.
