Elvis Presley superfan John Stamos headed to the King's Graceland mansion on Friday (21Nov14) to help celebrate the start of the holiday season by switching on the museum's festive lights.

The Full House star sported Elvis-style thick sideburns in tribute to his rock 'n' roll idol as he lit up the colourful display decorating the front yard of the late singer's former home in Memphis, Tennessee.

Young patients from the local Le Bonheur Children's Hospital were invited to visit the tourist attraction to attend the lighting ceremony.

Discussing his look, Stamos tells the Associated Press, "It's so funny. I had a beard, and I was like, 'I better shave this and I'll keep the 'burns in tribute."

The actor is no stranger to Graceland - he previously filmed a Tv special at the pad in the 1990s, while he also narrates an official virtual tour of the property.
