Rock publicist/manager RONNIE LIPPIN died yesterday (04DEC06) after a long battle with a rare variant of breast cancer. She was 59.
Lippin began her career as a publicist for plays and films in her native New York, but turned to music when she migrated to Los Angeles with her husband DICK LIPPIN.
She represented MCA Records before moving onto SIR Elton John's Rocket Records and then RSO Records - the once home of the Bee Gees.
In 1989 she formed the Lippin Group with her husband and represented Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Prince and Brian Wilson.
Wilson says, "Ronnie Lippin was one of the most loving, thoughtful, sensitive and caring people I've ever met.
"God only knows why she's been taken all too soon."
Lippin is survived by her husband and daughter ALEXANDRA.
