LATEST: More a-list music stars including SIR Elton John, Mariah Carey and Tim Mcgraw have been added to the star-studded LIVE 8 charity concert line-ups.

The five historic events are taking place on the same day, 2 July (05), all over the world, and aim to raise awareness of world poverty in developing countries by coinciding with the G8 Summit in Scotland four days later (06JUL05).

In London's Hyde Park, MARIAH CAREY, SIR ELTON JOHN, Annie Lennox, SCISSOR SISTERS, Sting, Joss Stone, Robbie Williams, Velvet Revolver, and The Cure have joined to the line-up, whilst 50 CENT, MAROON 5, Sarah Mclachlan, Rob Thomas, and KAISER CHIEFS are adding to the collaboration at Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

At the Paris' Eiffel Tower, France, Craig David, Jamiroquai and JOHNNY HALLIDAY have all added their names; A-Ha and CROSBY, STILLS + NASH have joined the Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, Germany, line-up; and Faith Hill, TIM McGRAW and Zucchero have also confirmed their appearance at Italy's gig at Rome's Circus Maximus.

Organiser SIR Bob Geldof is also hoping to organise three further concerts in Japan, Canada and Russia - the three remaining countries in the G8.
