The British singer has revealed she was struggling with her hectic work schedule, so she jetted to a remote location in the Scandinavian country to recover.

"I was in Miami (in December) and I was so tired that I couldn't appreciate being there at all. I was exhausted," she tells Britain's Daily Telegraph. "I found out about my Grammy nomination and I was just like, 'Oh, great', and I had to have a nap. When someone woke me up 10 minutes later I wanted to cry....

"I just wanted to get away for a few days, as it's been a crazy year... We drove about five hours from Oslo up to the mountains, and once I got there I knew it was going to be good for me."

Ellie admits she needed to get herself back to full health ahead of the start of her Delirium World Tour, which kicks off in Germany on Thursday (21Jan16).

"The trip to Norway has really settled my mind and my body. I'm ready for this year now," she adds.

Ellie documented her adventures in the snowy landscape in a series of posts on her Instagram.com page, showing her snowboarding and cuddling huskies.
