British actress Elizabeth Hurley's new film has been plunged into chaos after the movie's director and producer traded punches. on set

New project METHOD is currently being filmed in Romania, but its future looked uncertain after film-maker Duncan Roy had a violent argument with producer GUY LOUTHAN.

Cast members had to wade into the furious exchange fearing the tempestuous atmosphere would take it's toll on Hurley, who is a close pal of Loutham's.

A source tells the DAILY MAIL newspaper, "I don't know who started the fisticuffs. But OLIVER TOBIAS - who, funnily enough, plays a film director in the movie - managed to calm the two down, pointing out that it wasn't in Liz's interest for them to fall out."
