Actress Elizabeth Hurley has been reassured her position as the face of Estee Lauder cosmetics is safe - whatever her personal difficulties.

AERIN LAUDER, 33, who is heir to the Lauder billion dollar business, has defended the AUSTIN POWERS star after Hurley hit the headlines recently over her relationship with Indian businessman Arun Nayar, who has had to reportedly postpone his planned wedding to the star after experiencing problems divorcing his current wife.

She explains, "She is a modern woman, she has interests, passions, difficulties, ups and downs. I do, everyone does, it is very normal.

"But we are very much a family brand and this is what families do. We have feelings, we are sensitive and if something happens to someone, of course we are going to stand by them.

"That is what you would do with a sister, brother, parent. We respect Elizabeth, and that was our role as a family, basically. Elizabeth is still going to be with us for a long time."
