The singer was performing with his partner Troy Gentry at the Cornstock Concert on the Hill in Garnett when he tumbled to the ground and halted the gig as medics rushed onto the stage.

Initial reports suggested the Montgomery Gentry star had suffered a heart attack, but Gentry took to Twitter after the show to assure fans his bandmate was simply dehydrated, and was doing well.

"There are false reports floating around that Eddie had a heart attack last night," he wrote. "NOT TRUE. He was dehydrated and returned to the stage."

Montgomery also took to Twitter on Sunday (25Sep16) to share a shot of himself and wife Jennifer.

A spokesman for the band captioned the happy shot: "Eddie and Jennifer send their regards from Key West and thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes. And he’s drinking plenty of H20!"

Montgomery Gentry are next billed to perform at the Middle Tennessee District Fair in Lawrenceburg on 29 September (16).
