Ed Harris has been cast as Senator John McCain in the forthcoming HBO television-movie 'Game Change'.Ed Harris, the American actor and star of 'Apollo 13' and 'The Truman Show', has joined the cast of the highly-anticipated 'Game Change' and will play Senator John Mccain, reports the New York Post.The movie is based on the book of the same name by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin and will chronicle MCCain's unsuccessful 2008 presidential campaign. The film is likely to concentrate on the role that Sarah Palin played as the Senator's running mate, and Julianne Moore has already been cast as the controversial former Governor of Alaska. The movie is being directed by Jay Roach, whose previous credits include the comedies 'Dinner for Schmucks' and 'Little Fockers' and the script has been penned by Danny Strong. A broadcast date for the film has not yet been announced and the roles of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are yet to be cast.
Ed Harris recently completed work on the forthcoming drama movie 'That's What I Am', about a 12-year-old student named Andy who will do anything to avoid conflict with his junior high school peers. Harris plays "everyone's favourite teacher" Mr Simon, who helps Andy overcome his fears.
