The wrestler-turned-action star plays Luke Hobbs in the fast car franchise, and is currently filming with co-stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson for the eighth instalment of the popular film series.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Dwayne uploaded multiple snaps over the weekend (30-31Jul16) showing how Hobbs is getting on this time around.

"Let the bodies hit the floor. #PrisonBreak #TheBBlockSavage #IcemanCometh #AndHeDontF**kethAround #OnSet #FastAndFurious8," he captioned a snap of muscle man Hobbs in an orange jumpsuit barrelling people down.

He also shared why Hobbs is wearing the prison attire, recalling how Fast & Furious writer Chris Morgan suggested the character should be locked up in the most “hard core maximum security prison in the world”.

While 44-year-old Dwayne liked the idea, he had a few suggestions of his own.

"I responded, 'How even more insane and FUN FOR THE FANS would it be if Hobbs said f**k this, I'm gettin' out... try and stop me,'" he captioned another on set photo.

"Our goal here was to give you - the fans - a 'holy s**t' iconic prison breakout. For days our intensity was thru the roof. As it should be. And that big round iron thing on the back of Hobbs' arm is commonly referred to from scientist as his tricep. #Fast8 #HobbsStyle #TheIcemanCometh #AndHeDontF**kethAround #LetTheBodiesHitTheFloor (sic)."

Fast 8 is set to hit cinemas from April 2017, two years after the last flick.
