The highlights of the evening's musical performances included Sky Ferreira's rendition of Blue Velvet and Lynch's longtime composer Angelo Badalamenti, who thrilled fans with his Laura Palmer's Theme from the director's cult TV series Twin Peaks.

The evening concluded with The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd performing a medley of tunes from Lynch's films Eraserhead and The Elephant Man, and Duran Duran - the subject of a recent Lynch concert movie - ripping through hits like Ordinary World and Hungry Like the Wolf.
