British film-maker Duncan Roy has been chosen to direct a film about gay pianist LIBERACE - just weeks after he was warned his scathing comments about Elizabeth Hurley would ruin his career.

The outspoken director shocked the film industry when he gave an interview about working with Hurley in upcoming movie The Method.

Roy complained Hurley's diva behaviour had made life difficult onset, revealed her lusty trailer antics with lover Arun Nayar and told how she looked "rough" without makeup.

But rather than render him unemployable, Roy is now overwhelmed with offers of work.

He says, "The makers of THE PEOPLE VS LARRY FLYNT rang me to say they were intrigued by my Elizabeth Hurley story. They have asked me to direct a film about Liberace."
