Drizabone, All The Way Album Review

The welcome return of Drizabone heralds a stunning new album of breathtaking quality. You will find a load of gems on here "Never Gonna Stop The Groove" is funky floor filling affair for any serious soul gig or radio show. Quite simply up tempo soul at its best and a track I for one would love to see them perform live. The first single from All The Way is "I Fell Apart" a real Motown sounding summer soul groove. "No More Sorrow" offers more quality up beat soul for your pleasure. Mid beat soul doesn't come much better than the uplifting mid beat groove "Hit The Spot". On a more slow groove tip there are the tracks "All The Way" and "Lovin' U", both are real classy smoothed out affairs. For me the icing on this oh so soulful cake comes via the jaw dropping "Girlfriendz" lyrically, vocally and production wise this is a soul masterclass. I was given a copy of this as an un-mastered demo and it sounded good enough to eat!, now fully mastered up I can say hand on heart it is one of THE soul tracks of the year such is its breath taking quality. This album should be in every soul lovers collection so go buy it today.

Drizabone, Fell In Love Single Review

Purveyors of quality cross over soul since the early 80's Drizabone return with a stunning new album and single. The lead single is 'I Fell Apart' a retro summer sounding (put ya convertible roof down) type soul cut. It's an infectious, catchy, near Motown sounding swayer that is currently getting spun on everything from specialist stations/shows to Radio 2. Good enough for both purists and the cross over market at the same time.
