Connor Carey, 11, appeared on TV in America when Fox News reporters asked him why he started the blaze on the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration as U.S. President.

He replied, "Because I felt like it and because I'm just saying, 'Screw our president!'"

The interview quickly went viral on Twitter as thousands of activists applauded the 11-year-old for speaking out.

The TV footage reportedly landed the youngster in big trouble at home - a source tells TMZ The Price is Right host Drew and Connor's mum "were upset about how he expressed himself to the reporter, and talked to him about his language."

Connor was caught up in the protests during a family trip to the U.S. capital, where his dad hosted the Veterans Inaugural Ball.
