The Charlie's Angels star confirmed she was splitting from the art consultant of more than three years on 02 April (16), and less than two weeks later, it has been announced she will be working with his sister Jill Kargman on her scripted series.

Drew will make a rare return to TV to play a neighbour named Meredith who survives a blizzard with Jill, a fictionalised version of Kargman, and her partner Andy.

Veteran actress Blythe Danner, Gwyneth Paltrow's mum, will also appear in the New York-based comedy series as Jill's mother Sarah. Both guest stars will feature in the upcoming second series, which airs from 20 June (16).

Jill, who created the show, is the older sister of Will. She has appeared in Drew's social media pictures in the past, including one Instagram snap taken in January (16), which shows the women having some drinks.

Drew, 41, has not been on TV screens since 2009 television movie Grey Gardens, but she lent her voice to two characters on animated comedy Family Guy up until 2013.

She is set to star in 2017 Netflix comedy called Santa Clarita Diet alongside Justified actor Timothy Olyphant.

Drew and Will announced their split in a statement to People.com, insisting that they will remain a family for the sake of their daughters Olive, three, and Frankie, 23 months.

They continued, "Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on. Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
