Drew Barrymore is set to direct new romantic comedy 'How to Be Single'.

The 36-year-old actress - who is currently dating art consultant Will Kopelman - is to produce the project, which is believed to have a similar feel to the likes of 'He's Just Not That In To You' and 'Valentine's Day', alongside Nancy Juvonen.

While no stars have yet be announced for 'How to Be Single', the movie is expected to feature a large ensemble cast - in the same style of 'Valentine's Day', which featured Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts and Jessica Alba - and document a multi-layered story about the love lives of a group of New Yorkers over a 10-year period.

Penned by 'Never Been Kissed' writers Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, the film is an adaptation of the 2008 novel of the same name by author Liz Tuccillo.

Meanwhile, no longer single herself, Drew - who has reportedly been seeing 33-year-old Will for a few weeks - is believed to be taking things "slowly" with her new boyfriend.

An insider recently revealed: "It's a very new relationship. They're taking things slowly. They've been getting to know each other a lot better these last few weeks."
