Hollywood superstar Drew Barrymore has taken a leaf out of supermodel Kate Moss' book and is fronting a high street fashion collection in the UK.

Barrymore, 32, is to be the face of a new range by British Fashion Designer of the Year Giles Deacon. The Music AND LYRICS actress apparently bumped into the designer in a hotel lift and has since agreed to promote his Gold by Giles collection in the UK.

The designs include animal print and embroidered skinny jeans, cotton mini dresses and a range of accessories, such as over-sized sunglasses and funky jewellery.

And Deacon explained that Barrymore is ideal as the face of the range, thanks to her childlike appearance.

"Despite her Hollywood associations she is ballsy, and has a playful 'child-woman' appeal," he said. A New Look spokesperson added: "Drew is a real icon and more importantly a real woman who loves fashion but is not dictated to by it."

KATE MOSS has also recently launched a range of clothing for UK store Topshop, although the model actually designed the range of clothes herself.

Meanwhile, Moss' nemesis BETH DITTO has slammed the high street store for not stocking clothes big enough to fit her 15-stone frame.
