The Charlie's Angels star was announced as a guest-star on Odd Mom Out, the bravo hit series created by her ex Will Kopelman's sister Jill.

Drew, who split from her art consultant husband of nearly four years in April (16), announced she would appear on the show less than two weeks later.

The 50 First Dates star made a rare return to TV to play a neighbour named Meredith who survives a blizzard with Jill, a fictionalised version of her sister-in- law, and her partner Andy, for the scripted series.

"I loved the idea of working together," Jill tells People.com. "She surpassed all expectations, she's a comic genius in this episode."

Jill has previously sung Drew's praises, saying the pair would be "sisters forever". And despite the recent break-up between Drew and Will, the writer/actress was keen to land the E.T. star for the role.

"I asked her – she read the script and loved it so I was over the moon," shared Jill. "She's such a pro and the coolest part is even though she's dove out of planes in $100 million (£76 million) movies she was just as hard working on our scrappy set! The whole crew was enamoured by her sweetness and blown away by her comedic chops."

The 41-year-old's last TV role was in 2009 television movie Grey Gardens, but she has lent her voice to two characters on animated comedy Family Guy up until 2013.

She is set to star in 2017 Netflix comedy Santa Clarita Diet alongside Justified actor Timothy Olyphant.

Drew and Will announced their split in a statement to People, insisting that they will remain a family for the sake of their daughters Olive, three, and Frankie, two.
