Just days after Dreamworks Animation chief Jeffrey Katzenberg said that there was no reason for him to make an immediate decision on whether to renew his distribution agreement with Paramount since the current one doesn't expire until 2013, DWA has reportedly made the decision. According to the Los Angeles Times , it has told Paramount that it won't renew the agreement under terms that Paramount is currently offering. Katzenberg reportedly wants to pay Paramount less than the 8-percent distribution fee he now shells out; Paramount wants him to pay more. The Times noted that it was unclear why Katzenberg gave notice to the studio about his intentions so early.
