Actress Drea de Matteo in convinced that growing up in a haunted New York house turned her family mad.

The Manhattan brownstone home was formerly owned by soul queen ARETHA FRANKLIN, and De Matteo has a sneaking suspicion why her family got the place for such a good deal.

She explains, "That's probably why she (Aretha) moved out. We had a rough time in that place.

"As soon as we moved in there, everybody went crazy - fighting, screaming, yelling, getting robbed. It was just a weird energy in there. It looked like DRACULA's house."
