Dr Dre's latest protege The Game looks set to dominate the charts next week (ends28JAN05), after his debut album sold an estimated 400,000 copies in just one day.

While official figures have yet to be released, THE DOCUMENTARY has been selling phenomenally since its Tuesday (18JAN05) debut, and a final tally for the week is expected to sit around the 600,000 mark.

The Game tells website ALLHIPHOP.COM, "Hopefully, we'll live up to that expectation - 400,000 in one day. I think that's big.

"I don't think no one has sold 400,000 in one day. It's got to be amazing, so hopefully I'm the first one. Ultimately as long as I do the units I'm supposed to do with me AFTERMATH, G Unit, 50 (CENT), Dre, I'm good."

And the Compton, California, native - real name JAYCEON TAYLOR - is determined to earn himself a long-lasting career.

He adds, "I didn't start off trying to beat (anybody's) records in the first week. I just wanted to put out good music, please my fans, longevity."
